Our Story
Our story began with a vision to be a community of faith that raises bold disciples of Christ who will transform the world. In the summer of 2008, eight members were commissioned from HMCC of Ann Arbor to prayerfully journey together and make that vision a reality here in Austin.
Our desire is to love and to serve the city of Austin – from infants and youth, to single adults and families. In particular, we want to impact the students at the University of Texas because college is a pivotal time for people to discover their God- given destiny.
We are living testimonies that no matter who you are or what you have done, we can be redeemed and restored. As you observe our lives and hear our stories, we hope you will be encouraged to know that Jesus can change any life. No matter your cultural background, field of study, profession, or stage of life, we believe that the transforming power of God can be experienced through our community here at HMCC of Austin.
Although our ministry will continue to encompass and minister to people from different walks of life, our vision will always remain the same: to see people’s lives transformed, redirected to God’s purposes, and sent out to transform the world for the glory of God.
We eagerly anticipate God moving powerfully in and through our lives. With God leading us, we know that it’s going to be an unforgettable adventure. We can’t wait and invite you to experience with us the exciting story that God will continue to unfold!

Multiplying churches in campuses and cities to transform the next generation among the nations.Mission
To transform lost people into Christ’s disciples who will then transform the world.Strategy
Gather: Corporate Gatherings & Community Gatherings
We gather to foster a greater sense of unity and to continue to build up the church body.
- Corporate Gatherings are what we do together as the local body of Christ, such as Sunday Celebration, retreats, and baptism services.
- Community Gatherings are what we do in biblical community, specifically LIFE Group.
Grow: Life-on-Life & Equipping
We believe it is crucial that we do not grow stagnant in our faith, but that we are continually learning and being challenged.
- Life-on-Life involves intentional relationships like Life Change Groups (LCG) and discipleship, which allows us to sharpen each other as Christ-followers.
- Equipping entails purposeful investment in people to live a transformed life through opportunities such as Experiencing Classes, Freedom Class, ministry team service, and learning to study the Bible and pray.
Go: Personal Mission & Team-Based Mission
We have been called to go out and make disciples, by sharing the Good News and testifying of the work God has done in our lives.
- Personal Mission happens when an individual lives as the salt and light in our world, shares his/her faith with others and invites people into our community.
- Team-Based Mission happens when we partner together for God’s kingdom purposes through opportunities like missional initiatives, missions teams, and church plant teams.
